Flags Flying Outside and Inside – WELCOME!

The Sports Super Centre had (seemingly) random flags fluttering in the early evening breeze outside, and we had flags flying inside of the nations we welcomed to the Gold Coast tonight for the 7th Footbike World Championships.

As well as the regulatory identity lanyards, competitor numbers and microchips, the goodie bag included a frisbee, koala clip, water bottle and Gold Coast tourist guide.

   

Race Director Bruce Cook, President of the Australian Footbike Association Inc, said a few words before we tucked in to a “dinky di” Aussie BBQ. We specially organised some croc ‘n roo, and these were served as sausages and meatballs respectively.

   

Entertainer Robbie McGowan played some Aussie songs and there was even a “lamington” treat offered.
